Russia, Khabarovsk, 15 marzo 2023: Un tribunale militare ha chiesto sei anni di carcere per Daniil Frolkin, un soldato che ha confessato l’omicidio di un civile ucraino. È accusato di aver diffuso notizie false sull’esercito. Frolkin, 20 anni, era tra le forze di occupazione russe con la 64th Guards Motor Rifle Brigade che hanno attaccato Andriyivka, un villaggio nell’oblast di Kiev nel marzo 2022. Il giovane soldato aveva scattato alcuni selfie con un telefono rubato a un residente locale. Prima di lasciare Andriyivka, Frolkin ha cancellato tutte le foto e ha lasciato il telefono nel villaggio. La famiglia è riuscita a ritrovare il telefono, recuperare le foto cancellate e ad identificare il soldato russo. I file provano l’omicidio di almeno un civile. Frolkin ha confessato il suo crimine nell’estate del 2022 dicendo di aver ucciso un uomo ucraino perché stava passando informazioni sulle truppe russe nella regione di Kiev alle forze armate ucraine. Dopo il raid su Andriyivka, la 64a brigata è andata a Bucha, dove ha perpetrato altre atrocità e uccisioni di massa.
Russian soldier confesses to killing civilians in Ukraine and Putin puts him in jail
Russia, Khabarovsk, March 15, 2023: The Prosecutor’s office in Khabarovsk requested six years in prison for Daniil Frolkin, a soldier who confessed the murder of a Ukrainian civilian. He is accused of spreading fake news about the army. Frolkin, 20 years old, was amongst the Russian occupying forces with the 64th Guards Motor Rifle Brigade who attacked Andriyivka, a village in Kyiv oblast in March 2022. He took selfies with a phone stolen from a local resident. Before leaving Andriyivka, Frolkin deleted all the photos and left the phone in the village. The family managed to retrieve the deleted pictures and identified the Russian soildier. The files prove the murder of a at least a civilian. After the raid on Andriyivka, the 64th brigade went on to Bucha, where it perpetrated more atrocities and mass murders. Frolkin confessed his crime in the summer of 2022 saying that he killed a Ukrainian man because he was passing information of Russian troops in the Kyiv region to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
