Russia, Mosca, 22 marzo 2023: In un messaggio su Telegram dell’organizzazione russa, liquidata un anno fa circa dalla Corte Suprema russa con una sentenza politicamente motivata, i membri dell’associazione che cercano ancora di proseguire le attività scrivono: “Ecco come appare l’ufficio di Memorial in Maly Karetny Lane dopo la perquisizione di ieri. Le forze di sicurezza hanno portato via i computer, hanno messo tutto a soqquadro e hanno pure bevuto la vodka che era rimasta nell’edificio (ciò, probabilmente, ha provocato la loro furia). Non sappiamo ancora cosa sia stato portato via esattamente dall’ufficio dato che ai nostri avvocati non è stato permesso di entrare. Quando sono arrivate le forze di sicurezza, nell’edificio c’erano solo l’addetto alla reception e un dipendente di Caucasian Knot.
Chaos in Memorial office in the aftermath of police raid
Russia, Moscow, March 22, 2023: In a message circulated through Telegram, Memorial members write “This is how Memorial’s office in Maly Karetny Lane appears after yesterday’s search. The security forces took away the computers, turned everything upside down and drank the vodka that was left in the building (after that, they probably started to rage). We still don’t know what exactly was taken out of the office, because our lawyers were not allowed in. By the time the security forces arrived, only the receptionist and an employee of media outlet Caucasian Knot were in the building.”
