Vadym Oleksandrovyč Vorošylov, conosciuto anche col nome di battaglia: “Karaya” (in ucraino: Вадим Олександрович Ворошилов; Kremenčuk, 2 febbraio 1994), è un aviatore ucraino, pilota di MiG-29. Sin dall’inizio dell’invasione russa dell’Ucraina, Vorošylov ha affrontato numerose missioni di guerra e ha abbattuto 2 missili da crociera. Il 12 ottobre 2022 è precipitato durante l’intercettazione del 5º drone lanciato dai russi contro le infrastrutture energetiche civili del Paese.
Vorošylov ha deciso di riprendersi mentre pilota il suo aereo durante un volo: “Quanto è bella la nostra nazione”, ha dichiarato.
Considerato un asso dell’aviazione, il 5 dicembre 2022 è stato insignito dal presidente Volodymyr Zelens’kyj del titolo di Eroe dell’Ucraina con l’Ordine della Stella d’Oro.
